Her experience as a freelance journalist refined her ability to spot a good idea and gave her the resilience to go after it even in the face of rejection. This attitude is what led her to write the book The Great Stewardess Rebellion: How Women Launched a Workplace Revolution at 30,000 Feet. She had an idea to write a book about an important part of labour and women’s history, and she made it happen.
